ARGENTINA - 2018

SURCHARGED

Surcharged?  Yes.  

Because different reasons (financial mainly), there are seriuos problems of lack of stamps in postal offices of minor towns and in some offices of big cities of Argentina.

What Correo Argentino did?  Print more current definitive stamps?  NO. They started to looking for material in the stock of Philately.  Unselled stamps of past years (2002 in this case) are being surcharged.

And in november, was the turn of "Argentinian Landscapes" and San Jorge Lighthouse stamp.

At this moment the surcharged stamps are not for sell in the E-Store of Correo Argentino.  They are being distributed in the postal offices only.

There are no first day of issue known. Also, we don´t know how many of these were surcharged.  We are in a treasure hunt here. Waiting for some news about when and where will they arrive.

Closing the year of the bicentenary of the building of Macquarie Lighthouse, Australia Post is launching  an exclusive collector pack of only 200 copies. This pack contains historic and actual lighthouse releases.

CONTAINS

The Lighthouses of Sydney Minisheet of 2018 depicted above

And 5 exclusive minisheets of previous lighthouse issues numbered 1 to 200

1968 Macquarie stamp.
In my personal opinion this is by far, the best item of this collector pack

Point Lonsdale is the missing one.

Again the 2018 Lighthouses of Sydney in a new minisheet

There are only 200 copies availables.  The cost is around 65 u$s.  There is something that I do not understand. You build a very exclusive and expensive compilation, but incomplete. Where is the  "Point Lonsdale" stamp?
And this is something very interesting to follow.  Will this item sold out soon?  Wich will be the value at internet auction sites? The launch was in november 5.  I write this on november 10 and still there are copies availables.
Are we,  the lighthouse stamp collectors,  more than 200?
