General Info: Block CNEP from France 2015

 

CNEP = French Chamber of Dealers and Experts in Philately.  Sorry if the translation is not accurate,  but I think that you get the idea.

The Salon Philatélique d´Automne take place in Paris between 05 and 08 of november.  The CNEP organize this event and La Poste like previous years, issues these special blocks dedicated to these meetings.

You can get these blocks from the stores associated to the CNEP or if you attend to the Salon.  They are not for sell by La Poste.

This year Saint Pierre et Miquelón is the special guest and it will have a special block.  You can see it up here.

General Info: Collector from France 2015

 

La Poste has released in September 04 this Collector`s Sheet with 10 stamps under the title "Tout commence en Finistère". There are no good images yet of this issue, but apparently 2 stamps contain lighthouses. Lets take a look...

This is the fourth entry of this serie about Finistère. Two of the previous three also contain stamps with lighthouses.

General Info: Collector from France 2015

Issue from France under the category COLLECTORS (special stamps issued outside the regular program).  In this opportunity a serie of 10 stamps celebrating a photo exhibition known as "Le Festival du Mor Braz" in Quiberon (Bretagne).

 

One of the stamps depicts the Lighthouse of Grands Cardinaux (D-1086) located at south of Quiberon bay. This photo belong to Daniel Cariou and is part of a collection of 16 photos that participate in this exhibition.

 

 

The photos were taken in 1972 by Cariou during a visit to the lighthouse and portraits the life of the lighthouse keepers.  The name of the collection is " C’était la vie au phare".
