This item is not philatelic (although involves an album and gummed paper).

 

As you know (or maybe not), the "Copa America" of football begins in two days in Chile.
The official album of stickers for this event (published by Panini http://www.paninigroup.com/) have in the position number 8, the image up here.  An aerial view of the beach in La Serena, and of course the Faro Monumental in the center of the sticker.

 

I was waiting a stamp issue from Chile for this event with the posibility that this lighthouse appears in one of them. But no.  The 2 stamps released do not depicts the cities that host the cup.

So, this will be the ítem with lighthouses that I will get from this event, thanks to my nephew, Guillermo.

General Info: Collector from France 2015

Issue from France under the category COLLECTORS (special stamps issued outside the regular program).  In this opportunity a serie of 10 stamps celebrating a photo exhibition known as "Le Festival du Mor Braz" in Quiberon (Bretagne).

 

One of the stamps depicts the Lighthouse of Grands Cardinaux (D-1086) located at south of Quiberon bay. This photo belong to Daniel Cariou and is part of a collection of 16 photos that participate in this exhibition.

 

 

The photos were taken in 1972 by Cariou during a visit to the lighthouse and portraits the life of the lighthouse keepers.  The name of the collection is " C’était la vie au phare".

As you can see, the lighthouses on the stamps are very small.  I think that the designer put more importance to the context and the geography than the lighthouse itself.  That is why I believe that the margins of the sheets in this serie are very important.  One of the 10 stamps in the sheet is attached to a margin with a very close look of the lighthouse.  I put the number of the ideal position. Lets see how much extra value give to these positions the sellers of Delcampe and EBay.

That tower are the remains of the old Willemstad lighthouse (ex ALL B-0577)

 

Here a view of Google Earth of that place.  Apparently the photo of the minisheet is old and do not show that building at the left of the lighthouse. Or the photo in Google is the old one, and that building does not exists anymore.
